About Us

We are a husband and wife working out of a small studio in Loleta, California (a very small dairy town on the north coast). 

​I've been blowing glass full time for about twenty years. I've always enjoyed making things with my hands; working with glass, wood, or metal. I really enjoy the creativity of glass blowing. I'm also a musician, with an interest in early music (medieval, renaissance, and baroque music). I mainly play viola da gamba. I also write music for film, tv, and games (but haven't updated my music page for many years http://ci-studios.com/)

​My wife, Kelly, has also done glass work for about twenty years. Currently she divides her professional time between glass blowing and oil painting (http://www.kellyleal.com/). Kelly is also a musician with an interest in early music. She plays violin, and we play in a string quartet together.

​We live on a couple of acres of land (where our studio is located); along with our two young sons, two cats, one dog, and a flock of chickens.
